Use of Maps

The maps show an average noise level for an average day in the year calculated on the basis of a 10m grid a height of 4m above ground level as required by Directive 2002/49/EC. The maps are strategic and should be used accordingly, i.e. they cannot be used for a detailed PAN 56 (planning and noise) assessment and should not be taken to be fully representative of all local circumstances.

Compatibility

The noise maps are compatible with most desktop browsers. Please note that the maps are not compatible with most mobile devices.
